Kersey Valley Attractions is a year-round adventure park in Archdale/High Point, North Carolina, that offers a variety of attractions in one location. Last year, despite the outbreak of COVID-19, residents and visitors to the Triad were treated to a 10-acre Sunflower Extravaganza and Bomb Bowling by Kersey Valley Attractions.
For example, Kersey Valley Attractions provides facilities for a 1.5-mile aerial zipline tour, a 500-foot kiddie zipline, high-tech state-of-the-art laser tag, bomb bowling indoors and outdoors, and three levels of high-ropes courses that include a 34-foot rock wall.
In addition to year-round activities, they offer seasonal attractions such as Kersey Valley Christmas, the Maize Adventure corn maze, the Sunflower Extravaganza, the Kersey Valley Express train ride, the Spookywoods Haunted Attraction, a pumpkin patch, gem mining, the Gotcha Covered t-shirt shop, and various concessions.
Kersey Valley also serves as a meeting place for school groups, religious organizations, and scouting groups. Among the activities offered are educational events on gems and fossils and at the Bee Education Center; in addition, they host special events and corporate gatherings in their spacious outdoor shelter.
During the annual Christmas and winter season, Kersey Valley Attractions offers a complete evening of holiday and winter fun that is sure to keep friends and families coming back year after year to create new holiday memories.
One million LED lights, music, and spectacular sets will create a winter wonderland experience that will immerse visitors in the spirit of the season. Several are custom-made and exclusive to Kersey Valley and its surroundings.
It is possible for children to download a message to Santa to be dropped off in his mailbox, as well as to get a photo taken with the big man himself and with The Grinch. In addition, visitors of all ages can take advantage of numerous photo opportunities and interact with live characters throughout the park. In addition, the evening would not be complete without some of the best holiday delicacies around, as well as a little holiday shopping at Santa’s Workshop.
It is suggested that the northern stretch of Kersey Valley Road be closed in order to increase the capacity of the Kersey Valley Landfill, which is currently at capacity. Up until 2025, the present Landfill layout is predicted to provide sufficient capacity. Preparing for the possibility of the need for extra landfill capacity, the City of High Point is considering closing Kersey Valley Road between the two existing landfill sites and merging them into a single facility. It is anticipated that this consolidation will give an additional ten years of capacity up to the year 2035.
